Hi !
Sorry for my bad english, i'm a french who did not learn well at school  Grin (I regreet I regreet)

I Have 6 questions about Jloops pack ( http://www.jloops.com/ ), and I really hope you will understand all !

1- Jloops is a pack of Vsti (virtual instrument) we have to use with MIDI controller (cubase, fruityloops, etc...) or this is a pack of .WAV files we can use on programs like Music Maker or Ejay?

2- Something great with Jam Studio.com : we can do beautiful music without searching the good sound between instruments! Bass will be ok with guitar and ok with piano... if Jloops is a pack of loops with .WAV file (second choice of the first question), is it easy to found wich sound of bass will be ok with guitar?? Files have specifics names that make easy to found wich sound are good together?

3- I see that you will release others packs... If I buy the Value Pack now, will I have the "update" for free?

4- is there the 80000 loops on the value pack?

5- Do you send pack in Europe, and how much expensive the postage is ?

6- If I use your loops, they are royalties free for making music? I can sell my music for example?

That's all!!

By the way, you have made a great job with JamStudio!! I hope you will continue your project!!!

Greetings!

1. jLoops is a pack with more than 8GB of .wav files that you can use on any program that will accept them.  The great thing is that you don't HAVE to download them all to your computer, just drag'n drop the chords of the sounds you want

2.  the .wavs in jLoops are the same exact sounds in jamstudio.com, and they're numbered the same way!  that means you can use the online jamstudio.com interface to find the perfect sound extremely quickly.  Change chords by beat, upbeat, add effects, endings, chords with a different bass note, have a guitar hang out on a note while everything else changes chords...  you'll LOVE it

3.  I am the manager of the music dept, and I'm at my house on a saturday morning...  this is a question for the marketing dept or the CEO.  The only way I see we could do it is if we charged postage, we COULD offer it as a download but a 3GB download is massive

4.  jLoops has more than 8GB worth of files.  We decided to send .wav files rather than the .mp3 files you hear online so we wouldn't lock our members into specific tempos with lesser quality files. jLoops Value Pack offeres all the same sounds found online (9/29/07), and we offer them at a few tempos so you can make whatever tempo you want!  (# of loops doesn't mean # of sounds... it means # of tempos since jamstudio doesn't time stretch)

5.  go to jLoops.com and fill out the info, it should tell you how much shipping is straight to your door

6.  Yes yes yes!  That is why we exist, for you to make music!  Use them use them use them, just don't sell the individual loops by themselves

your english is great!   let me know if you have any other questions

Thank you very much for the answer!!
Quickly :

1- Ok, I see now!!
2- That was my "biggest" problem cause I'm not a musician... but now, it seems ok!! Cheesy
3- I can pay for postage they want! Nevermind for the moment, we will see that when there will have a new release! Wink
4- Just a little question : 8GB per DVD, or 8GB for all DVD?  Grin Just to prepare my hard drive!!
5- Ok, I'll see now !
6- Great great great  Grin Grin Grin

and
your english is great!   let me know if you have any other questions
flatterer  Grin

I'm going to buy it now, I will come back when I will receive it for comment the value pack!!
Thank you again very much! Wink

i'm sorry i lied...  now that I'm at work I checked and it is a bit more than 6GB worth of .wav files.  your computer doesn't have to hold it all, you can simply transfer the chords you need from the sound you need

Hi !

I'm going to buy the value package
but before that I have 3 questions :

Jloops.com states "all 12 major & minor chords for acid..."

1. What about the Maj7, m7 & sus Huh?. Are they included as well???

2. Do all the loops has the 12 major, minor?... (7 and sus ...if the first question is YES).

3. I see the previous posts are from  2007. Have been there any update to the package from then?

I think That's all.
Thanks in advance for your prompt reply (I'd like to buy it ASAP, so please I urge to have this questions answered)

Thank you very much !!!!

The loops go like this, A , AM ,  AB , ABM , as ant said an external editor will usually let you change to other combos. I'll tell you also that there are a few other variations on the instruments not on the site. To me it was well worth the cost. Hope this helps ya. Smiley

I bought The Jloops value pack. My Pay Pal payment of $59.02 USD was completed on Aug 22nd but I have not received the package or any information on the tracking number.
I have sent several emails to lauren@jamstudio.com & clint@jamstudio.com but nothing, no replies! I don't want to believe they are ignoring my emais.
Do you guys know another way to contact them?
I only need to know if everything is ok with my order and when I'm going to receive it.

Thanks!

I'm a little disappointed with the Jloops that I have received.
The wav files only show the key, not the name of the loops. It's really hard to work with unnamed loops
I received 2 cds with the sounds below:

Bass 36 ea
Drums 62 ea
Eguitar 101 ea
Epiano 23 ea
Guitar 27 ea
Organ 24 ea
Piano 29 ea
Synth 20 ea

Are they complete??? Jamstudio has a lot more than those above.  I expected receiving all of the sounds from jamstudio.com. I have emailed them for clarification... but guess what! no replies!...
Anyway... Any suggestion of how to rename and re-organize more than 12,000 files ?
Please I'd like to know how you guys have organized your Jloops.
Thanks

Its not really that bad at all I have been using Jamstudio loops for about 2 years now and most of the work is in the know  how.

tips: Do not  sample the loops using your audio player.it takes to long and you will never get a song made lol.You will need a good DAW [audio editor] I use Mixcraft~5 http://johntigerant.com/mixcraft5.cfm  there are free ones out there like http://audio-editor-recorder.com/index.asp?aff=11231&camp=yh_audacity2&se=yahoo  now you need to open up your editor like you where going to import a song.At this point you should be able you open up your music files and sample your loops one at a time and very fast. This is how you sample loops for a song you are building. At this point there is 2 important things you will need to do on your own.1st. you want to be concerned with what key you want to record in and what instrument you wanta use.Remember you can't arrange loops with the edit open do it with your editor closed if now the editor will try to import your work and you don't want that.2nd. you will wanta know what instrument you wanta start with.
After you get this far let me know and we will go from here!

Thanks Ant,
Actually I use Sequel 2 (from Steinberg)... I have already created some songs with jamstudio and some loops from Sequel: These are two of the songs I created:

http://www.youtube.com/user/epastorrouco

Actually there is a spanish producer interested in my music, but he wants listening more of my songs.

Ok, I noticed that the quality of sound it was not sufficiently good when I exported a whole song from jamstudio in a sole MP3 file. I tried to do it one by one, instrument by intrument of my song and vooalaa! big difference on sound quality.

But that was a lot of work!!!
I had to export instrument by instrument Mp3 files to my email, then save them to my computer, then pass them to Sequel in different tracks ( i had tens of tracks). and make the arrangements and mixes....

I thought that buying the Jloops could simplify my life... but:
1. They are unnamed... I have to guess what instrument is each...
2. There are not variation keys in the Jloops (I use 7th keys)... I wish I can get them some day.
3. Not all the loops from jamstudio come in the Jlopps.
How do yo have arranged your loops in your computer?

By the way I was checking mixcraft5, I Think is what I was looking for!!! Its' a really friendly DAW. I got the trial version... Sequel2 is Ok but is too... mmm ... "basic". I think Mixcraft will be the perfect "next step" to me.
Just one more question: When I "Add a sound" in mixcrft5. Is there any way to search my loops by name?

Thanks for the tips, and thanks for let me know about mixcraft5
Ernesto.
