Is there any way to split a measure in jamstudio?  I keep bumping up against this with my songs where I need a 1/2 measure of one chord and 1/2 measure of another chord but don't seem to be able to do this with jamstudio.

The only way I know it can be done is with an external sound editor.  Huh

Hey,
I split stuff all the time, the only problem is you run out of pages real quick like in this example:
http://www.jamstudio.com/Studio/FWSongShare.asp?SongNum=157403&SongId=157556
However, you can produce tracks and mix them all in an external audio editor like 'Gold Wave' or 'Acid Music Studio'.

well the trick is to record each track all the through the way you want it .then record all the track together.a lot of us here at jamstudio have the equipment that can do it.i'll be glad to do it for you when you get then ready.------------------Ant

I'm familiar with audio editing but the simplicity is my attraction to jam studio. I need to be able to split a measure or get the same effect. I know a few people responded but not with much detail. Can you elaborate more on this? What do you mean" record it the way you want and then all the way through"?? I the example song above the user created a one measure pages of a chord and then listed the order to play in. Isn't this still going for a full measure / 4 beats??

As far as I know Jamstudio can't split a measure.one way you can do that is with editing equipment and jamstudio Loops
http://www.jloops.com/index.htm  By useing jamstudio Loops you can make the same song with editing equipment you can then take the time line and make the beat 1/4 1/2 3/4/ 4/4 beats / measure. I can take my equipment to 1/16 triplet notes.
