I don't think they even look here anymore for submissions...I've submitted mine eons ago, and sent them song after song to clint and they have YET to make me featured artist, even though my stuff sound better than the NEW featured artist. I try to make my stuff sound professional. I don't know...I'm getting kind of irritated with the system of how a featured artist is selected then kept up there for months and months at a time.

I know what you're saying Crystal... I was a part of a writing website for years, which had a system, where if you were an active member of the site and had made recent posts, most importantly commented on other people work, qualified you to be a featured artist. These artists were chosen at random, by a computer I guess, and were displayed on the website home page. If that's something they can implement here, and they, being the faceless moderators that collect the funds we pay to keep their web site running. Except for Ant… at least he’s having a go. The sad thing about the writing website is it came to the point where the whole thing got out of hand for the administrators, they couldn't keep up with the demands of it's members and in the end just pulled the pin on the whole thing an terminated the web site. I’m not saying that this is what's happening here but there does seem to be some lack of support and maintenance on this site. The 3 beats per bar "coming soon" thing has been there for years. I enjoy a site like this; a small community of likeminded artist with a medium like Jam Studio Online Music Factory together with a forum like this is a great outlet. We may never be famous, may never write a hit song. It's just a shame it's not updated a little more often. If the creators of such a site could regain the enthusiasm, that some of its members have, it could be a great site. I also think the lack of recent activity on the site is a reflection that!!! |

Dont give up Crystal. Dont loose heart. You are a wonderful artist. In my book,... you already are a "featured artist". I think you should showcase your music on other sites such as IACmusic.com, reverbnation.com, MadeLoud.com, MusicForte.com, Ourstage.com, and SongRamp.com are just a few I would think you might get noticed.
