first of all I have to say I think it stinks that having spent all this time with Jam Studio and let's say testing it out for them ,They now want to charge us to use the new stuff that we surgested. Next I have to say that I don't see that many changes to make a better song ,things like ,a lead in count ,How hard can that be? ,7th chords (we still only have major and minor)how about 9th chords? Having more then 1 chord per measure. So the way I feel is this is still just for the beginners and not good enough for the  pros .

When I first started to read your statement I was in total agreeance with your comments about how it's wrong that they want to now charge users for what appears to be very little changes. It should not be that way. This is a good site, why ruin it with petty charges? To tell the truth, I think the webhosts of this site are asking too much too soon.
Why is it that awesome things always get ruined by the almighty dollar?
You would need to change alot more on this site before I would pay $10.00/month.
I love the site, it is by far one of the best I have seen. And the best thing was was that it was free. Too soon to charge $$$ but that's just my opinion.

as far as I can see the site is still free, the use of additional features (mp3 mix, alternative, techno) does cost money, jamstudio has more for free than when it was brown...  am I missing something?

Well it's really not that hard to understand. If a company has employees and a website and lots of people to pay, how do they get paid?? If the company is sponsored and endorsed by large companies than it is usally free. So it is kinda basic knowledge of why Jamstudio decided to charge money. I'm gonna pay because I have a recording arts degree and really do not want to have to buy garage band, acid, pro tools or any other software and the microphones and the cables and they drum machines or reason when i could just pay 10 a month whenever i need to make a song. I'm sure it will get more advanced and add on lost of features. But if you disagree with me, go spend thousands and hope you or someone you know can play the drums, keyboards, bass, guitar, and make techno sounds.

Its just $10. Think about how much stuff people waste more than that on. To some its probably not worth the money and others I'm sure would be willing to pay more. Andy has a strong point. Did no one notice before that when you added the extra sounds it showed a fee that was crossed out and said "limited time only". I believe that explains it.

Holy cow! I cannot believe someone would actually say there is nothing new in the new JS2.0  I mean they added MP3 mix...ANY sound on ANY track...Insert/delete...loop...a WHOLE new library of cool techno sounds, and all kinds of other VERY useful tools.  As for the count in...all I can say is apparently it isn't THAT big of a request or I am sure they would have put it in. Did you ever stop to think what an awesome tool they have given you for FREE for all these months and I am sure there is more than ONE guy working in his garage on this and I am sure they all have families to feed....so what would you think if whatever you do for a living..all of a sudden they gave it away for free? We do go in to business to actually make MONEY don't we? If you feel so adament that you shouldn't pay for this..that's fine and it is your opinion...but I have a simple question for you: Where do you plan to find another website that has even HALF the features that they have in JS?...and find it for FREE!!!???  I think not...

Sorry I am going off here, but it kills me that some people feel they "deserve" something for nothing.

What a world we live in....

Wow.. I didn't think that people would get so flared up about this comment but that's ok. Every1 is entitled to their own opinion here. Personally I would not pay $10 for what is offered on this site. I use it alot and think it is a great concept, but not enough to subscribe to at this moment in time. I will be watching closely to see how it evolves from here. The site definitely has caught my interest. Good job to those involved that are building it.
