I've been playing around with Jamstudio and it is fun and I see how it can be useful.  I am mainly a lyricist with limited musical ability, so I am seeing how this can be very useful.  But is it worth $10.00 a month?  That seems pretty steep.  How are the mp3 downloads?  I hear some clipping when the songs change some chords and pages.  Is there clipping on the mp3's?

The only reason you'd hear anything wrong with playing music live over the Internet is because...you're playing it live over the Internet.  That's just how the Internet works; it's not 100% perfect yet.  Perhaps your connection isn't quite fast enough or something.  However, if you're an All Access Pass subscriber, you may use the MP3 Mix feature to make an mp3 of your song.  This uses the files directly, so it's perfect.  If you ask me, it's totally worth it.

...but I may be a bit biased, as I work here.  Wink

Yes, it is totally worth it
      * you can cancel any time,
      * there are (GASP) no ads muddying up my screen,
      * the servers keep things moving at a good pace,
      * the JS site managers are actually present and responsive.

Shocked On the other hand, ten bucks'll buy one breakfast, and I would be happy to skip a breakfast a month for AllAccess.
Shocked Finally, even if I did stop paying I could still keep using the software.
Shocked Then there are the instrument samples... but need I say more?

    My two cents worth.

    P.S.
No, I don't work here, or even know these guys (yet).

I am more or less a lyricist as well. Until now. The mp3 downloads are crystal clear. Try it for a month or so and see how you like it. I've had the membership going on two months now and there are MANY more options with it. You might actually be surprised.
