Hey all I am new to Jam Studio and want to have a chord change in the middle of a measure. Other than doubling the speed of the tempo during that measure and changing the drum part, but seriously! There has to be a way to do it much simply. Any help would be great.

that's exactly what I've taken to do - keep the tempo faster and you can make more changes. Unfortunately there's only a few drum files that are half speed, luckily most of them sound pretty good at a faster tempo. Also you can mix drums to get the sound you want.
Some of us (and I don't mean me, I'm still on learning curve highway) Grin download to a music program. Audacity and mixcraft are two that you can get free (limitations in saving). I use sony acid music stuido right now. Others use cubase, or garageband, etc.
Welcome to JamStudio, jbattelle. It can be a lot of fun.

Oh, and a song contest is running right now.
Good luck.
