Hi, At the moment I can only place the chord change on the first beat of every bar. Is it possible to change chords within the same bar? Like the 2nd, 3rd or 4th beat for example?

Thanks.

short answer: nope. check out the tips and tricks section for some awesome videos and explanations of how to work jamstudio. but in short, what you put on each page can't be changed, so each bar you make sounds like the next, except for the chord changes you make. so you can use pages to modify the feel of your song, to make changes from bar to bar. but if you want 5 bars in a row to sound different, that will take 5pages.

Many use music software like Audacity, Mixcraft, Sony ACID (all have free versions) to load their pages into, then play with from there.

Go back over some of the Show Us Your Stuff section, especially people like Trebor999, DaveH, ramolly, ripamo...these guys are masters at making simple changes on pages to create a dynamic structure. One that jumps out is DaveH "3 instrument song" - check out the jamstudio versions so you can view the page structure.

You will also find some instruments start on different beats in the bar. EGuitar: Jade, for example, starts (I think) on beat 3!

Keep at it Leke, you'll be posting great stuff in no time!!! Grin
