Ideas for another song contest.

Here are some ideas for another song contest! 

Ant suggested that everyone could pay a fee to join and that the winner would get an all acces pass. I think that's a good idea, but to make it so that more people will join you could simply get all the money instead of an all acces pass. If it takes a fee to join, and all you get is the pass noone which has already got the pass will be interrested in joining.

Ok here are some ideas on how we could do it;

- I can hold the contest, I got alot of free time the upcoming month.
- No judges, everyone will vote forth the winners.
- The songs could be split up into many rounds. We could put songs with similiar genres in the same rounds to make it easier to compare.
- One round of voting every two weeks?
- Contestants could vote when their own songs are not in the current voting round?
- The voting would not be in a poll. People would vote by replying to the topic.
- If Im fixing the contest, I still want to be able to join. I would not be able to change the results more than anyone else in the contest.
- Only JS links.
- Anything else? lol.


These are just suggestions.. And I want to discuss them.. 

Ant, if we do it like this would you handle the money? I am not familiar with paypal and I'd bet they would trust you with the money since you have been holding two contests already.

  Victor is sounds like a great idea.But I don't think that Jamstudio will go for that! The reason being, We would be getting away from what Jamstudio is all about,It not about making money but about giving someone the chance to own the rights to there own music.The reason I like the all access pass idea is because there are a lot of you out there that can't afford the pass.This wound be a good way to earn it by winning the contest.I give up on prizes because I forget that some of you live on the other side OD the world and its cost a mint to ship to you .

Okay, it's just that.. As I said people that has already got the pass won't join the contest if it chosts. And it might not be fun with too few people.

Yeah, some people have a moral opposition to gambling... and considering we only had nineteen entrants in a free contest, I don't see how we'd get twenty-five for one that cost money to enter. Is anyone here good with graphics? I've seen contests with custom avatar/signature images offered as prizes for winning. Alternatively, we could do a just-for fun system where the winner of one contest gets to judge the next one - no prizes, but still some significance in winning.

Yeah I see.. I could make a signature picture (or whatever its called) with a goblet on it saying "SONG CONTEST WINNER".. Or something like that.  Anyway, I think we'll discuss if it would work with the money more.. okay?

i think the next contest should be a two song entry. better yet a partner contest. we pull names out of a hat or something.

Yes allowed but not forced. And if a collaboration joins the prize will be split up.
