Now that I've purchased the All Access pass, I can't seem to find a description of the terms of service anywhere--certainly not in the email that was sent to me.  I had the idea that my payment was for six months, yet every time I login to jamstudio, it tells me "monthly subscription, cancel anytime."  I'm a bit confused about exactly what I've signed up for, and I don't see the answer anywhere on the site.  Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places?

It should be 24.95 for 6/mo. if you feel you have a problem with your account you can email clint@jamstudio.com

At first it was 10.00 a month, then it went to 4.95 a month, now its 24.95 for 6/mo

Thank you!  Is that information actually written anywhere on the site (other than your reply to me)?  I hunted for it, because every time I log in, I see that "All Access Granted" button with the "monthly subscription" note on it, but I couldn't find anything else.

Yes, I saw that first screen before signing up, and it has the relevant info.  The second screen, which you see after signing up, doesn't have the details.  I didn't use PayPal.  Since I didn't write down the info on the first screen, which I don't see again after signing up, there was no way to retrieve it.  I think it would be a good idea to have the subscription information in a FAQ or something, so that anyone can look at it anytime.

I got one email, the one titled "JamStudio ALL ACCESS PASS - Plus Apps", which congratulates me for buying the All Access pass, and tells me how to get the free apps.  At any rate, it would be a simple matter to have the Terms of Service somewhere on the web site.

Terms of Service agreements tend to always handcuff the userbase.  While I feel they are a necessary evil, they do serve a vital function in putting in writing exactly what both parties can expect in exchange for whatever... See what I mean.

I will say this, I for one welcome the trusting hearts of the developers at JamStudio.com in putting their wares and hard work for all to see and use as they will.  After searching the site for the usual limiting factoid that some lawyer drew up in some back office and who will probably never even touch the site, I decided it must be okay to try.   So.... I created a local html page on my machine that uses JamStudio inside of an IFrame.  Cropped and placed nicely on the right hand side of my page only showing the information I need to see to help me write my songs.  I have married it with standard we-based controls/forms that allow me to control the JS Flash webapp to a certain degree of flexibility.  In addition, I have added the useage of a Windows Automation utility called AutoIt which allows me to programmatically click the mouse whereever I want in the browser.  Granted my system only works on IE, but hey it's only to save me time in the long run, because we never have enough of that ya know.

Not as much as I'd like.
I did manage to get 4 songs done yesterday.  Arrangements really.  Just to take this puppy out for a spin to she what she'd do!
A couple of ol Skynyrd and ol Gospel from my youth.  Always a WIP.
This is actually my first foray into using a computer to make music on.  Mostly I just work on them and play on my guitars.
Have a full setup, just never saw much use for it.  Til recently, when I was diagnosed with mere mortality and as such I have to hasten some things along.

So for now I'll just keep on playin...

Truth be told, I was really just trying to make a point regarding the need for establishing a Terms of Service.

Then, much to my recursive surprise (aka deja vu), somethin' so simple that should have dawned on me immediately - only came to light after exercising a lengthy proof of concept.

In a nutshell...MORE THAN 5 PAGES...MORE THAN 8 MIXER TRACKS PER MEASURE...UNLIMITED SONG LENGTH...UNLIMITED COMBINATIONS OF STRUMMING PATTERNS...KEY CHANGES WITHIN THE SAME SONG...and yes... EVEN THE UNPREDICATBILITY AND IMPERFECTIONS IN THE PERFORMANCE THAT MAKES PLAYING MUSIC SPECIAL, REAL, AND HUMAN.  It's ALL there in JamStudio...It's as simple asOops late for work...gotta go...
