Godmoder Girl, you must be a country music fan (not that there is anything wrong with that) because I don't see much else use for 3/4 unless you're writing a waltz Grin

Well yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw. I'm a fan of all of it. But I hear what you're saying with the 3/4 time. I jamstudio because I can't play guitar much anymore due to fingers that get too sore too fast Cry yeah yeah boohoo for me...I've a bunch of tunes in 3/4 time I would like to js. I love good country music too.

You can use a fast 3/4 to simulate 6/8 and there's plenty of music that uses that.

actually some r and b and blue songs use 3/4 or the faster 6/8 like for example, "I'm your baby tonight." By Whitney Houston. It hit me like last night in my bed as I was thinking about the song. The song is 6/8. Crazy things I figure out when I'm laying in bed awake. 3/4 is usually used for swing too. Not just waltzes and country. Smiley It allows for more of a syncopated beat.
