Sorry, I don't mean to sound childish, but I feel strongly about what I write. I could see if people were writing rap songs where everyother word began with F and ended in ucker, with the occasional mother thrown in. But that's not what's going on here. The occasional cuss word is life, why does that need to be censored? I don't get it, although I know there are young kids on the sight, but if we think that teaching them that censorship is okay as long as you don't say bad words, what kind of message is that? That coupled with the fact that TV, radio and movies are loaded with the bad words (not to mention the playground and probably the home,) so we're not exposing them to anything that they're not hearing anyway. But we are definately telling them that censorship is alive and well in this country and to me that is far worse than any word I can think of. Okay, I'm done being a rebel...I don't write that shux anyway! Late eno

 People this web site has filters built into it.At least it has for the last 2 years that I know about.Stop your beeoch'in and post who you wanta.It it gets deleted then ho well!

I've weighed in on this topic before, but...
I accept this modification of my post because this is the rule that JS has set up. I was surprised, is all, not offended, by having my words changed - and I thought it kinda cute! So, as Ant says, you want to be a part of this site, get over yourself and accept that your harsher language will be changed by the filters set in the program. Nobody is being targeted!
And let's not confuse the bigger issues of real censorship with this - nobody's life is being corralled here, nobody's freedom is being filtered. This website called jamstudio.com is not a country or a person, and as such is not subject to any external rules as far as filtering out what they consider language not appropriate for ALL ears.
If only TV and radio used the same sense!
You want to object? How about objecting to the movie and tv classification system the increasing use of harsh language in movies for younger audiences. I give as an example the movie Hitch, with it's totally unnecessary F-bomb in what might be an otherwise acceptable movie to watch with your children around. A PG movie is allowed to have F-bombs in it, which is a change from 10 years ago.
Sigh. Ah, this world...

I would like to add that this has nothing to do with the Freedom of Speech.
It is the Freedom of Press. Since we are on a public internet forum, as determined by the Supreme Court, anything posted by on a public internet forum is considered Press, not speech, since it is written word.
Forum post are indirectly protected by the First Amendment, as determined by the Supreme Court. All forms, except for hate speech and libel are protected.
