This is by CallMeLegend; tweaked and maneuvered by Dave H; taken in, coddled, slapped, and pampered by me. Legend, Dave...gosh, I hope you like it. This is the version made with Sony ACID Music Studio: another version in Mixcraft5 that I'm still trying to figure out how to get it here. http://www.box.net/shared/52pqqehihvI have to say, it's not everything I'd hoped it would be - but with the technical problems, the time constraints...oh heck, listen to me, making excuses. Enjoy, and backfeed, please.

First of all let me say what an inspirational song. This is great..That being said let me ask wyo , have you tried the vocals with no reverb at all ? The reason being in my opinion since it's like telling a story maybe with no effects it coul be more out front rather than mixed like a song with lyrics would be. Hope i explained that right. But hey guys it's a cool tune

Thanks Omega, much appreciated. And JKenney, thank you for your kind words that are always welcome. I needed the reverb to help the story sit up in the mix. This is probably the toughest nut I've tried to crack and something I will return to as I gain more production experience. What you offered is exactly what I was shooting for but...well, like I said, I need more learning to make that happen. At least I can still learn some new tricks, eh!

Thanks Omega, jkennedy, and trebor999. Thanks Omega about the comment about the clarity in my voice. After my car accident, I had to learn how to talk again. When I was in the hospital, I use to call past girl friends, and they would hang up me. They would think they were getting an obscene phone. Use call back, and the nurse would explain what had happened! So the comment meant a lot. And thanks dave and wy, my two amigos. We had some great chemistry going on this one. It sounds great! Sort of like a split of my version, and Dave, and then you used your imagination wy for tips and tricks like the reflecting of one statement repeating itself over and over-like "if time stood still". And then the ending, which lead back to the begining. Sort of like the Alpha and Omega, expressing eternity. I thought this was perfect. Then you introduced dave's version onto of mine-"I don't know:) it's like I hear something new and indescribable every time . Just tell me wy how I can inject this song into my web site... http://sonnyofhighpoint.com As you can see I put other songs on theit...but that was with a straight line Mp3 link. I also like to put it on jango internet radio stations to see I get any arousal. I don't want to sell it for profit. Just to see how many people in the world it touches. Thanks and kudos to everybody, either for your musical input or your critique. I agree..with jkennedy wy. except for one thing-and I'll leave that up to you. Leave the first cut with my voice and music like it is...pause for 8 secounds, then you come in singing with the same music...The reason I pick 8 sec's is because the number 8 signifies eternity. But that's for a future project. I want to take this cut and put it on my dad's web site. I've also submitted this song on soundclick in at least 8 categories. Neat eh http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?q=hi&songID=9540217

glad you like it Legend. I will return to this for a version fuller than now, but it's in mixcraft at the moment. I've been working with my son, emailing the files back and forth, but somehow lost the bass in the mixcraft mix, so I'll have to figure that out. And until I can record with getting jitter out of the mixcraft files, then there will be no vocal overdub, which the mixcraft version (the original!) was meant to have. To download, Legend: go to the box.net file and click the download button there, to download the track as mp3 to your computer. Make sure you know exactly where it saved to (maybe choose to put it on your desktop?), and from there, however you'll get it to your dad's website, as I don't know what that is or it's methods. Peace and love, Legend. Hope your Dad has a wonderful birthday party, and I truly hope this is a gift you feel you can give to him

Well done, Dave. Not sure right now where it will fit in, but it's a good dynamic. One of the things I was trying to do with the bass was keep it the same root note throughout. It's a very strong layer meant to reflect "the will". Maybe let's take a look at that when we revisit this number? Glad you like it, my friend.

Somehow this story fits the events of last night. Allow me to elaborate. Last night at karate, I had to test for my advanced yellow belt . Do forms, self-defense techniques, 1 step and three steps and fight an 5th degree black belt for 5 minutes. Ain't no shame in my game, he mopped the floor up with me. He owns the school, and no other green, blue, or brown or black belts showed up. I'm 55 and have been around awhile (Prision guard, army, truck driver, past martial arts training so I can handle myself a little. Also the rest of the class are in their early teens. But when they are green on up-they can handle themselves good. Especially since our instuctor is darn good! Also remember the fact that also, I am handicapped. (balance-memory and speech) I have found that the martial arts really helps in all these area. Well last night I also had to break boards. 1 x12x8 pine-. Utilzing a forward punch, knife hand,(inward and outward, and two kicks. On the forward punch, I failed the first two times. Immediately after each failure, another board was produced. Finally on the third attempt I broke it. The first time I broke boards was about 4 months ago. Same thing-except i screamed out in pain! And never did break the board with a forward punch. And plus I had about 20 sec's to recover from the pain. This time the pain still was there-but I was more determined and learned how to fight thru the pain. I learned a valuable lesson last night. And that lesson is not your predictable a winner never quits da de da predictable quote, or suck it up, theres another saying that eludes me. it's so 80's:0, and they say it in aerobics- O yes it comes back a little- something like "no gain, no pain-(so pedictable and ymca and Poor Richard's Almanac-what i learned was that be able to absorb pain, is equal to or even greter than the abilty to dish out pain" (Thanks for sharing See itold you it fits in with the song.
