Hey ya'll, Id like to throw out another tune I've been working on. It's called "Let's get Together" If anyone is interested in coming up with some lyics and/or vocals... that would be great. Keep in mind this is only an idea so far and can be reworked to better fit lyrics and/or vocals. http://www.box.net/embed/d70mqmtasmm3z7j.swfRobert stay cool ya'll

Blood is thicker than water Nice beat, rythmn, and timing Robert. and water is free Like Sly and Sister Sledge we are family ------------------------ Don't need no blood test an ole lie detector test maybe maybe Don't need no blood test an ole lie detector test maybe maybe ------------------------------- but the gaps between our two front teeth confirms you and I are familyw plus the fact that we use real good profanity! ------------------------------------- and you have that certain walk and talk and that funny looking profile ,certainly --------------------------------------------- blood is thicker than water, and like I said "water is free!
LOL so are these lyrics

Great song Robert. Love the horns. I also like Legends lyrics, a comical as they are. They do sorta fit the feel to the song and could be elaborated upon. Nice work.

Thanks Emjay-those folks could eat corn through a picket fence, and then whistle "will it go around in circles?, or fly high like a bird in the sky." Maybe that is the enhancement ye seek LOL My family can eat corn through a picket fence, and then fly high like a dayspring in the sky !!! Will it go around in circles, uh un uh un aha or glow bright like a radioactive june-bug, eating a rotten speckled french fry

im sure theres no intentional toe stepping going on here Rip lol. I also sure Robert is looking for as many variations as possible until he finds the correct melody that suits him.
i cant wait to see what sava comes up with im sure she will do it justice with her amazing voice.
await with anticipation.

Robert, I wanted to print the first couple of verses, and the chorus, so you can see what direction I'm going. I need you to expand the first measures after the intro , which I would say are set up for 2 lines to accomodate 4 lines, and then after what I would call the chorus (where the horns really come in) if you could do a similar intro like at the beginning to differentiate the end of the chorus from the beginning of verse 2, that would be cool too. A bridge at some point and then you really bring it at the end of the song, would love to se that a little longer for some layered vocal harmonies. So there you have my lyrics and my thoughts , if you want to go, let's do it. It will be tough to lay down vocal tracks until the few minor revisions are done, you said it was an idea, right? I say it's a brilliant idea, and I could lay down a melody so you can hear what I'm invisioning there, and if you like it. Anyway let me know, here are the lyrics for the first two verses and chorus;
Verse 1 The time has come, for the world to join as one We’ve been at war since the beginning of time For every child, every daughter and every son We must stop hating each other some time Chorus We can make this place a better world If we can make this world a better place for you Verse 2 We’re all the same, we’re all just called by different names And we all come from different nations The wars we fight, don’t ever change the wrong to right They don’t end sickness or starvation Chorus We can make this place a better world If we can make this world a better place for me too

Hi Brianeo,
Love the lyrics and I agree with all that was said below. I hope we can get this one to gether. If only we could be in the same room to discuss it... would make the clarification much easier. If you were to use a time line such as from
0-20 sec (no change needed 20 sec mark ( add 2 bars of same)
ect.. ect.. would help me alot to know exactly what you would need to fit the lyrics.
Thanks, Robert

That makes alot of sense Robert, I will utilize a stop watch and time it, That will make it easier. The logistical challenges of making music long distance is a challenge sometimes, but we can overcome it. I'm glad you like the concept, I will be incorporating "lets get together" also later in the song. So I'll continue on with the lyrics and do some timing for you. Looking forward to this. Late eno
