Okay, I had just logged onto Jamstudio, and learned that my six-month paid subscription just expired.  I wasn't keeping up with the amount of time I had left, and had forgotten that I paid back in January.  So...okay, I guess the 6 months are up.  However, now that I'm back to being a free user, it seems I have to PAY for unlimited access to the entire sound library?  I will click on a sound file down a certain point in the list, and instead of being added, the "all access pass" message pops up.

I do not recall this restriction being here before I upgraded?   This is why I have fully completed songs sitting in my folder that I created before paying.
I have also taken a look around the forums and I see no recent messages announcing this change.

When was this restriction applied, and why?

Grin As Das has showed you, this happened some time ago.You need to keep all you songs backed up at other locations.I use 3 backup locations. And you ask how do I back up a Jamstudio file that is stored at Jamstudio only? Its a little work but it can be done. You will need a DAW or editor. You can try this free one: http://www.downloadvance.com/audacity/ I use Mixcraft~5 myself. Now you will need to upload each file by itself as a WAV file to your PC.That way you will have music files for each Instrument in your song saved.

NOTE: This only works if you have an all access pass.

D'oh!  I thought I looked all over the message boards for information about this, anyway.  Yea, I guess that thread explains it.   Sorry for rehashing an old issue!

Not that it's not still disappointing as hell.  I will look into your suggestion, Ant.
