You can only save page by page. But what you can do is create pages ith one line or measure then change again. A page can be  4 lines or one, however you want to make it. You can create as many pages as you want . You can create one page or up to five at a time then start over again. Some of my tunes go up to7,8,9 pages . Some people here have many more. Once you get the hang of it, it's not difficult. However you can only go this route if you have an all acess pass that way you can make mp3's of all your pages and combine them in to one. If i haven't explained to good well someone else will Grin

thanks for your help.  i don't understand the part of downloading pages and then hooking them together on my end to create a longer than 5 page song.  But, I will study here when I can (I'm very intrigued and excited about the possibilities)..... I thank
you for helping me out.   Smiley

Grin  EXAMPLE: you can repeat pages as long as your song doesn't run longer than 4 minutes. [ the correct time is something like 4.5 munutes not sure]

EXAMPLE:  1,3,4,2,5,5,5,3,3,4,1,3,5,2----------- first learn how to build your cool song by repeating pages.

Post back for more help. Once you get the hang of using Jamstudio, then the fun starts lol   Ant

Actually, I have made songs up to six minutes long and MP3'd them through with no problem.  Found out today (after help from here) that it is the amount of
the page order that restricts the download of the full song.  I reduced my page numbers on both the songs I had created that would not go through as I had
created and with page order reduction done on both both songs then went through complete.
I'm disappointed to have to have done this as the songs sounded much better when the music was alternating through the first amount of page orders I had had.

Hey Susan. That amount of page limitation is something I found out as well through trial and error. Making separate parts to your song will work very well if you are using a DAW, or Digital Audio Workstation. I'm using a couple of paid products - Sony's ACID music studio, and Mixcraft5 (Highly recommended - user friendliness). A free one is called Audacity. I'm sure there are a few more simple ones, but check with Ant on a good price for Mixcraft if that's the path you choose.

Grin Susan there are a lot of us that have moved on to advanced song building with our own editing software with plug in VST effects. We like staying with Jamstudio because this is where a lot of members got there start. And we get a kick out of helping other people. Did you know you can take a Jamstudio made song and add other loops to it and expand your song!  There is no limit to what you can do with a little help.

Grin Here is a sample that you can let the kids listen to.I just put some loops together and added lead guitar: http://www.box.net/shared/njs4u1lp1r it needs more work but that is where the fun comes in lol.

The song is covered under Creative Commons Licenses.so you can use it to show the class what they can do.

Hey Susan....Since you already have a full access pass for mp3's, if you need to get a complete mp3 of your song in a hurry......you can post a link to your JS file in here and I will save it in two parts, mix it, and pm it to you.......that way, you can navigate any learning curves on the mixing software at your leisure...... Cool
