Hi everybody !
I'm sure most of you have experienced a problem loading your avatar (personalized picture) on the forum. I tried linking to a photo from my computer, and also tried using "share links" from numerous other sites. I finally got mine to work by using a share link from my photo bucket account.
http://photobucket.com/ It's free to sign up and it's a pretty cool site too. I can't guarantee it will work for you, but if you've tried everything else without any luck, you might want to give it shot !

UPDATE !Here's the short version of what Ant and I came up with ....
1. Go to
http://photobucket.com/ and sign up for a free account, then upload your photo
2. Click on the photo, then select "share",.... and then select "Get link code"
3. For your avatar..... copy the code from the "Direct link for layout pages" box, and then paste it into the box labeled "I have my own pic" on the JS "Forum profile information" page
4. To insert a photo or .gif into your post within a topic..... copy the code from the "IMG...." box, and paste it into your post !
The long version starts below......and believe or not, it may actually make sense to you...lol....
