today ive been messing with panning in an audio editor, i want to make the music dance from speaker to speaker.
As i told ynin would be great if i had surround sound as the possibilities in effects would be wicked.
Anyway i tried it with one file all good the music dances from left to right and then right to left but does anyone know how to do this without a volume drop?
I gave up on the effect simply because of this so if anyone knows the answer please tel me.
Its a very useful feature say if someone was singing and was harmonising with themselves as they could get a really good effect as if their voice was bouncing off a wall.
Its just a question of getting it right does anyone know?.... AM

I think with programs like Cubase or Pro Tools (I assume) you can add dynamic panning. But don't quote me on that. AND, they cost an arm and a leg. Anyone know for sure though?

For a mixing editor programs that dont have dynamic panning, you can manually do it by using a duplicate track, cutting points in wave file where the panning should be and use fade out on track one and fade in on track 2, if done correctly, you wont loose volume.  |

Hey Jumper,
I just purchased a Yamaha audiogram 6 which came with Cubase software and it was only 149.00+ tax, and it does have dynamic panning capabilities. I don't think 149.00 is too over the top, or is it? Late Ron/brianeno

yes you can pan, you can add dynamic panning, you can pan for gold. It really is an awesome piece for the price and the software is for real, Cubase takes a bit of trial and error as the designers think that everyone has sound engineering or music production experience but after a little bit of time it starts to come together. didn't mean to piss you off ant, late, Ron/brianeneo

I don't get pissed off lol.I was just saying that 149.00 is high if you are just going to pan.If you can afford it it a great piece of equipment!

Hi. I am using the 10 day free trial. I was wondering if there was a way to mix my songs and add effects. If you know if I can and how to do it I would appreciate your replies.
