one or two thing i can think of is just repeat the page you want like if the order is 1,3,2,5,4 an you want to edit with changing chords or instrument is say you want to loop it in one just 1,1,1,3,2,5,4 . then just delet the extras ones once you happy with the chord, yes you have to keep pressing play an stopping after how ever many times youve put in ie 3 repeats on the one ... but hey ... another way i can only see an i did this on a bridge part was working on .. just went new song after i noted the chords down for that part on oone page an played it along with my guitar an sang till i got it write then .. went into my saved song an edited that way an played it throu .. hope thats clear an helps

It's quite easy to do this, and in a way, it does involve deleting the play list. What I do is keep a Notepad window open, which I will copy and paste my playlists into. This way I have a record of each version I have tried, making it easy to skip back to a previous one. I can also save it as a .txt file, meaning I have a full revision history saved.
If you want to loop a page, just select the whole playlist and hit ctrl-x. This clears the box while making a copy, and now Jamstudio willl loop any page you switch to. To be safe, paste the playlist somewhere else, such as Notepad, with ctrl-v, although often this is unnecessary because by the time you've played it looping and made your changes, you usually have the playlist still in your clipboard.

Maybe it's a bug left in the code, I don't know, but if you begin the page order list with a comma instead of a number just like this ",2,3,1,..." you'll be able to loop the selected page as many times as you need without having to delete the entire list.

I might just be missing this, but question on looping. How do you loop the entire song? Page order example > 1.2.2.1.1.3.3.4 Now when it gets to 4 can you loop it back to the beginning? I know if you just repeat the pages you can accomplish this but I find myself playing the same song over and over for sometimes 45 minutes or so. I do this to try and piece the leads, alt rhythms, etc. Right now I have to quit and click play again. I would rather not have to page out that far. So, can this be done without extensive paging? It is probably right there in front of me, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Unfortunately, there's no real way to do this on the site now. However, if you've got the basics of the song down how you like them, you can record it and just loop it in a music player on your computer. When the MP3 Mixdown becomes fully available, you can do that, but in the mean time, check out my previous post - FAQ: How to record a JamStudio song.

One of the things I've done when tabs 1 through 5 in JS are not enough for a given song, is to save the core song components as "<song title> version 1" and then also save it as "<song title> version 2". This method provides a lot of latitude for changing the instruments in version 2 if you'd like to repeat some of the same chords over again for a different part of the song without destroying what you already created in version 1, assuming you've ran out of space.
Ideally, JS could have 10 tabs instead of 5, and users should be able to edit the tab names (e.g., instead of 1, 2, 3, allow users to change the tab names to intro, verse 1, bridge, etc.)
Just a suggestion.
Keep up the great work, Jumper. This is a great site and I'm having a lot of fun just as it exists now.
